Mr Pops, aka Nathan Meyer (Carrello Del Gelato), asked The Brand Depot to design branding and packaging for his new premium ice blocks. The brief was to emphasise the use of natural ingredients, many of them locally sourced, and to use the packaging to tell this story and reflect the company’s values of quality and honesty.
The ice block category is largely oversaturated with colour, so The Brand Depot’s stripped back design was refreshingly different (excuse the pun!). White was chosen as the brand colour, which allows the cheerful illustrations to stand out and capture the essence of enjoying ice blocks made from authentic local ingredients. The upbeat premium Mr Pops brand marque was designed as a bespoke signature to reflect the artisan quality, creating strong brand recognition.
